toopicky on "In app image resizer?"

Could a feature be added to resize photos before the app uploads them.
Example:

I take photo with my iPhone and it's a 8MP photo at almost 4-5MB in size but I have set in my self hosted WP not to allow huge photos so I don't fill up space. I'd like a setting where I could set the image size that are uploaded either in pixels x pixels or Kb.
